1. What should a provisionally admitted students do if their schedule changes?
Unless the schedule change or final grade(s) (below a “C-“) will prevent the student from meeting all admission requirements, then they do not need to take action. Students are advised to consult their community college counselor for assistance if schedule changes occur and in selecting courses required for admission to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³».
All admission requirements must be completed before the first term at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». Admission is considered conditional until any in-progress coursework is satisfactorily completed and documented on official transcripts.
2. Can I change my major?
During your Academic Advising and Course Registration session, you will be given instructions on how to change your major. Please make sure you have signed up for the orientation session that corresponds with your intended major.
3. When will students meet with an academic advisor and receive help in selecting their courses?
Within your Applicant Portal you will find in-person and virtual options for meeting with your academic advisor. These will become available to you once you have submitted your required documents, specifically official transcripts and AP or IB test scores.
4. May I defer my admission to a later term?
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» allows students to request a deferment of their admission to the next available term. If it has been more than one term, the student will be required to complete a new application and pay the required fee. Updated transcripts are required for coursework that has been completed, or is in progress of being completed, since first being admitted to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». Students may request a one-time deferral by emailing Admissions (admissions@csuci.edu).
